Follow the steps below to find items on this site.

1. Complete the appropriate options on the Search screen.  Help

2. The first results screen will be displayed. The number of items matching your search critera will be displayed at the top of the screen. If there are items that match your search, they will be displayed as reduced-size pictures, called "thumbnails" along with the summary information and the date. Results will be displayed 10 per page. Click on the Next button at the bottom of the screen to see the next 10 results. Click on the Back button of your browser to go to a previous page. If you receive a "timed out" message, try clicking on the browser's Reload or Refresh button.

3. To see a full-size version of an item, to see other sides of an item, or for complete item information, click on the thumbnail of the item you are interested in.

4. The full-size results screen will show a full-size view of the image, along with a physical description, summary of contents, date, source, accession ID, all of the subjects assigned to the item, and numbers representing each of the sides or pages of an item.  Help

5. To see magnified views of the image, click on the full-size view. Items may be magnified again by clicking on the image again. Note that the largest views are very large files (approximately one megabyte)  that may take quite awhile to view over a slow connection, such as a modem on a home computer. From this screen you may also view other sides, view information about the source of the item, or start a new search based on a subject heading assigned to the current item.
