Full-size Results

The full-size results screen displays all of the information known about an item including: description, summary, date, source, accession ID, subject and other side. To see magnified views of the image, click on the full-size view.

Description
This field lists the media (photo, postcard, sound file, etc.), physical size, color or b&w (black and white) and length of time (sound or video files - none currently available).

Summary
As much information that's known about an item is included in this field, including names and addresses.

Date
Dates range from almost unknown to an exact year and are listed in the following format: yyyy-mm-dd, so 1965-05-29 represents May 29, 1965. If only a decade is known, it is indicated with a question mark in the year place, e.g., 196?. If not even a decade can be determined, two question marks are inserted, e.g., 18??.

Source
This field represents groups of items from a collection or a single source, such as a book. For further information about a source, click on its name.

Accession ID
This is the original unique identification number assigned to an item in a single source.

Subject
A list of one or more subjects will appear as assigned by RHPL librarians. Subject headings have been developed to help users find groups of related items, especially in cases where keyword searches do not make items easy to locate. Click on any subject to see the results of a new search showing all items with that subject heading.

Other side
If an item has multiple sides or pages, a list of each side number will appear as a link. Click on any number to see a given side. The full-size view of the side will appear.
